What the heck is a widget?

I use to be a singer, dancer & musician. Now I am just me. Not really sure what my interests are any more, 'cause I don't really have the time or gumpshin to find out. ~shrugs~~

I love music.....it soothes the soul and the savage beast that lurks within all of us! I love any kind of music, except that "Kill a cop, f--k your Mama" kind of crap! I listen mostly to country and old rock and roll, but my tastes run the gammet from classical to Marilyn Manson. Music courses through my veins and my soul! I burn most of my own CD's, and the girls at work trip out on the variety of music that I listen to.

Computers, obviously. I am an avid law enforcement supporter.....I am a graduate of the Fresno Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy and one of my sons is a FPD officer. I like working in the yard....mostly! I love to spend time with my family. I idolize my children and absolutely adore my grandchildren!

Other than the Hannibal Lecter series and the Left Behind series, I don't get the opportunity to read much these days. When I was younger I read the entire Holy Bible three times. I think that was the year that I was 15 or 16 years old. .... so that was like 30 years ago?

I love all Hannibal Lecter movies......and a few other movies. I love the movie Big Fish. It reminds me of how I think my children feel about my life, and how they will discover when I am gone that it was all "Mostly" true......Just my own twist on the stories.

I am happily married for almost 23 years now to a great guy named Pete. We have been together for 26 yrs. I have 2 boys, the oldest is a police officer that is in the Army National Guard and who also was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Iraq. My youngest is a steel worker, who works for a hardfacing company. They make the parts for agriculture-machines, all over the world. The oldest is married to a great little gal and they have a 2 yr old little girl, & a baby boy on the way. My youngest is married to a sweet girl and they have a little boy who is 2-1/2 yrs old. Both of our boys live close-by. My husband and I were truck drivers for decades, until his stroke, in 2001. My husband has 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy. They are my age, and between the three of them, and their spouses/others, they have given us 11 grandkids. So, our grandkids range in age from 2 years old to 24 years old! We also have 3 great-grandchildren with another on the way. I am a fanatical Betty Boop collector, with approximately 1500 Betty Boop items! I love her....."party, party, party, and Grampy cleans up the mess"! What's not to love about that. ..... I also love Miss Bettie Page, one of the hottest women ever there was.
As for my job, I work for the Treasury Department, five years now. The job is alright....the pay is pretty good.....the drama having to deal with beaureacratic bullshit of trying to stand up for your rights is ridiculous. I am learning first-hand all of the reasons that I always said "ABOLISH THE IRS", when I was younger! lol .. I do, however, agree with them for the fact that they "FUND FREEDOM". (That is one of their mottos.... WE FUND FREEDOM!) I also agree with them on payday. :)
I am also a graduate of the Fresno Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy. It was a 17 week course that included everything, from domestic violence, patrol, murder, narcotics, gangs, canine, mounted patrol, & Skywatch, to even touring the entire jail, in with the prisoners! I even came face to face with potentially my worst nightmare.... a Cop Killer! All that seperated my nose & his, was a little glass in the door of his cell. It was quite a course, that I am very proud to be a graduate of. I wish that I were able to be more involved in the department, but Pete's medical condition won't allow for that right now.

I am on God's mission. He just didn't leave a plan or a roadmap.

My Grandfather on my Dad's side was a POW in WWII. Numerous Uncles on both side's of my family were in the military, Army, Air Force, Navy and the Marines. Aunts were married to military men, Air Force. Two of my brothers were in the military. My second eldest brother was a career Air Force. And my oldest brother was 4 yr Air Force military intel, then he got out for a couple of years, then he reenlisted into the Army & flew helicopters. My oldest son is CA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD, & served in Iraq. He was awarded the Bronze Star for extreme valor. He & my youngest son (now a steel-worker), were in Cadet Programs from the 7th grade ontil high school, when they became Army JROTC. They were both high ranking in cadets & JROTC. I also have many, many, young people who have come through our home, go onto become military troops. I AM PROUD!!!

I am a proud supporter of The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, & it's fine Military! My Son Is A Soldier Who Serves To Protect Our Rights!!! I am a true supporter of our Allied Military Troops! GOD BLESS US ALL!!!!

Good, honest people. Little kids, before an adult screws them up! Animals, I love animals. I have a thing for Betty Boop and Bettie Page! I love the San Franscisco Bay area and the whole west coast! Good food, good wine, good company! I am a sucker for flowers ..... any kind of flowers .... but especially ROSES! When I use to drive truck, I was a flower bandit, all over the country. I would see a larger flower garden, and I would pick a grocery bag full of whatever flower they were, and then hang them up in the sleeper of our truck! ...I was even known as, "The Flower Bandit", by a few officers & highway-patrolmen! LOL (I was 'busted' a few times stealing flowers.) What can I say, I AM a sucker for flowers.... :)

Mean, vindictive people. Thieves. People who are mean to babies/old people/animals and to me! .............I am not a fan of politics at all. World hunger turns me off. I don't understand why it has to be...........why are people still starving & yet we explore space? I'm all for space... after world hunger & disease...?!
