I am 46 years old (German) and am married to an American who was in the Army for 9 years. We met while he was stationed in Mainz, Germany 29 years ago. We have two beautiful daughters (22 and 26) and live in Germany. We visit the States at least once a year to see the family who lives in Upstate New York which is where my husband is from.

Nice see around sometime!!!!

Hi Theresa, yeah, we went to a really nice coffee shop on Market Street, too, last year. And yes, it would be nice to have a cup of coffee together next time I am in the area.

Hi Theresa, thanks for the comment on my picture. I've been to Corning many times. Last year we were there for the Parade of lights on Main Street (or is it Market Street). It was really nice. Corning is nice place. It is so nice to find somebody who lives so close to my husbands hometown. :-)

Hey there Claudia.  Hope that this finds you well.  Always good to hear from you.  Yes, we seem to have a new kitten.  But, she is very annoying.  She is a "give me attention" cat.  lol  Not something we are use to with our old cat.  And, I'm sure, somehow, that you'll end up with another cat, when your beloved old pet is gone.  You see, I swore off getting another cat when our Stevie is gone.  And, I didn't even make it until then.  LOL

Thank you for the Veteran's Day greeting.  A day that honors our Veterans is just what the doctor ordered.  You take care sweetie!  And have a good week.

Hugs,
~Martha

Hi Martha, I just read your blog about the kitten. How sweet. I am sure you will have a lot of fun with it. We have a kitty, too, but he is 16 yrs old and not doing too well right now. He used to be my Mom's cat and we took him in after she passed away. I keep telling myself that after he is gone I won't get another pet, especially since I am allergic to animals. But you never know, right? Well, I hope all is well with you and your family. Have a wonderful Sunday. God bless, Claudia

Hello Claudia and welcome back!!

Am glad that you were able to enjoy your time here in the states. My time in China with Min was great, no, better than great. I wrote a blog about it called a second chance at life.

Be well my friend, God bless you and all that you dream to do,

Ken

Hi Martha, how have you been doing? Hope everything is fine with you and your family. We just got back from our trip to the States. We had a wonderful time especially since our two daughters were able to be with us for 3 out of 4 weeks. Now we are still trying to get over the jetlag that's why I'll be going to bed soon ;-)Big hugs, Claudia

Hey there Claudia.  Always good to hear from you!  I am so glad that you had a wonderful trip, here in the States.  I hope that we were all good hosts?!  Isn't it wonderful to get to spend quality time with your kids, especially now that they are grown & gone?!?   I've never had jetlag... never traveled by plane.  But, I tell ya, I think I have a little case of it tonight.

We had all 5 of our kids, 12-1/2 of our grandkids, & all 4 of our great-grandkids together today.  Oh my, the life in the house!  Our kids range from 25 to 43 yrs old, our grandkids are from 23 yrs down to 2 yrs... and one on the way, and our great-grandkids are all under 2 yrs old.  The newest is less than a month old, & she cried with everyone.... but ME!  :o)

But, let me tell ya, when all those little kids get tired, all at one time!!!!!  Oh, instant chaos!  LOL  And, then it is twizzle twazzle, time for this one, to go home!

Well, my friend, as I said, it is always good to hear from you.  You take care and have a good week.  Get some needed rest!

Hugs,
~Martha
